At first please join our QL pickup chan called #spontan.ql for TDM.pro, Clanarena and Insta CTF. If you wanna play CTF then you have to join #spontanqlctf

You can add for a game simple typing !add <game> for one of those three possible gametypes, e.g. !add tdm

After the topic is full, the match can begin, you get a message from the pickup bot.

At first the server must be empty. The first captain choosen ramdomized by the bot should looking for an empty server. After a server was found, the captain will retrieve the server ip adress by typing the command “cl_currentserveraddress” in the console or using the quick link at the top/left (but be sure you are in window mode). Then he gives the IP to the other added people that they can quickly join the server by typing /connect IP in the console, double click that quick link in irc chat (Example: www.quakelive.com/r/home/join/01337) or simple the people follow to the captains server.

At the moment all the servers are public without the ability to set any password. If you have to play on a server with more than 8 slots and 2 more people are joining a team then we ask nicely to go back to spec mode. In most instances its ok and we thank for the cooperation.

After all players have connected properly, the two choosen captain can make the teams. The first captain begins and just one player is picked in turn. At least he may choose his map. A second map can be acted when all players agree.

Here are some important Bot-Commands you need when u want to play any pickup games:

!add [gametype] adds you to the lineup e.g. !add tdm
!remove or !remove [gametype] removes you from the player list
!promote promotion in all channels the bot is on (only avaible every 5 minutes)
!lastgame shows the details of the last game (players, server etc.)
!who = show who is currently added
!ip [gametype] sets a server ip (usage : !ip &lt;xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx&gt;:[Port] [pw]) admin only command
!top10 get the overall top10 stats of all players of the last 7 days
